I have been here 3 times over the last year. I think I have finally found my favourite Italian restaurant in Canberra. Pizza and Pasta was delicious but my favourite dish was the Veal Probito - simply amazing.

Absolutely delicious food, can draw on the tables which keeps the kids amused and decent speed. Staff were a little odd...

We have been to Figaro twice in the past year but have decided not to go again. Two weeks ago we booked for 6 people at 6:30. When we arrived there were only 2 tables occupied but we were told our table wasn't ready so were asked to sit on the end of a large group table while waiting. They obviously wanted to seat us on a table where a young family were enjoying their time and eating and were hoping they would be gone by 6:30. Then after about 15 minutes we were asked to move to another table where we settled ourselves and started looking at menus. After about 10 minutes we were then asked to move again when the other family left. One of our party is nearly 90 so moving from table to table was not ideal! What does it matter where you sit??

On a side note it would be nice if they could fix the door.

Four of us ordered a veal main and we all commented that the veal was over cooked. The salmon and pizza were good.

The previous time we went we all ordered dessert but my lemon tart did not arrive. After waiting a while this was queried and it appeared that the waiter didn't place that order with the chef. After another 10 minutes I am told that they have run out. By then everyone else had finished their meal. Couldn't that have been ascertained before taking dessert orders?

Fantastic food and great service. Reccomend the hand made Gnocchi. Superb dishes.

This is an honest Italian restaurant - it doesn't feel dressed up. The dishes are full of flavour, prices are fair and servings are generous. Book ahead as it is hard to get a table as a walk in.
